One of the most important benefits an employer can provide for its workers is to ensure they leave work each day just as healthy as they arrived. At Pioneer Hi-Bred we take the safety of our employees very seriously. One of the ways we ensure employee safety is by training our work force in First Aid, CPR, and the use of AED. Kay Maddox of On Site Health and Safety Training has provided this training for us for the pas several years. Our employees not only find the training beneficial, they enjoy the way it is presented and look forward to each recertification. I would strongly recommend that each and every employer provide this type of training for their employees.

Kay Maddox, RN has been providing CPR/AED, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens training for our first responders for many years. We have never been disappointed. As an RN myself, I often encounter people who become anxious about recertifying in CPR. Kay always manages not only to allay any fears our associates may bring to the training sessions, but she actually makes the training fun and interesting. I look forward to many more years of working with Kay.

Thank you again for your partnership. We appreciate you and your program. “You should hire Kay”. The Indiana Dental Association has a terrific relationship with Kay Maddox. Since 2003, Kay has been the exclusive provider of OSHA Compliance and CPR Recertification for the association. Her experience and knowledge are well received by our dentists and office staff. We regularly receive very positive comments about Kay's training from our members. “It was the most enjoyable training I have attended on the subject. She provides the information a dental office needs in an entertaining way. I like that Kay does not waste my time with fluff. She knows her stuff. You should consider using Kay for your training”.

“During our summer training for day camp staff, Kay bent over backwards to make sure all of our counselors had an opportunity to get trained in CPR and First Aid. It was impressive to see her personal devotion to making sure the counselors were ready.” “One camp counselor told me she was very impressed with the way Kay taught her CPR Class. She said she got right to the point and directly related the information to true life experiences.” “I've had a great working relationship with Kay. She is very professional and is a true expert in her field. Added to her expertise, is her friendly and fun personality!”

Shares Inc. (Shelbyville, IN) Director of Program Development:

Kay Maddox, RN has provided training in CPR, First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, Universal Precautions and Administration of Medications to staff and consumers at Shares, Inc. since 1995. Shares, Inc. provides vocational and rehabilitation training to developmentally disabled adults in Shelby, Hancock and Rush Counties and must meet very stringent safety standards for the services we provide. Over the years, Kay has developed an outstanding relationship, not only with our staff but in how she is able to provide instruction to persons with significant learning disabilities. Kay's compassion and concern for all of the people at Shares is evident in the self confidence and self esteem beaming form the faces in her lectures and demonstrations. “I really think I could help someone who needs CPR…I feel like I would know what to do. Practicing with the mannequins and having Kay help us makes me feel good about myself.” (Cheryl H.) “My mother has heart problems and sometimes I am alone with her. I feel good knowing I could help her…I could call 911 and I could do things for her until help could come. Knowing what to do makes me feel better…I don't worry as much as I used to before learning CPR and First Aid”. (Elaine H.) Kay Maddox has been instrumental in developing emergency skills for the people at Shares, Inc. Prior to 1995 we had tried several different avenues to secure this type of training. Shares, Inc. prides itself in very low staff turnover. Nearly half our consumer populations and over 2/3rds of our staff have been with Shares over 20 years. Kay has been a big part in this by developing such a long term relationship with us. We all look forward to Kay coming to our facilities and providing the many classes that help us maintain a safe atmosphere.
